FAQ’s

  1. What grade levels do you offer programs for?
    Our programs are available for grades K-12. Our Educational Lesson Plans are geared toward grades 4-12.
  2. Do all your programs take place at Universal Studios Hollywood?
    All of our programs take place on property at Universal Studios Hollywood Theme Park, and include a one-day admission to all of the rides and attractions.
  3. How can we pay for our tickets?
    Acceptable forms of payment are school or organizational check, credit card, or purchase order. NO personal checks will be accepted. Please see the section on payments.
  4. Can we pay upon arrival?
    Yes, unless the selected program indicates that pre-payment is required.
  5. How far in advance do we need to book a reservation?
    We recommend booking a minimum of 10 days in advance. If paying by purchase order, a minimum of 30 days is required.
  6. What is the minimum number of students I need to book a reservation?
    We require a minimum of ten students, please note higher minimums may be required based on the selected program. Please see the selected program page for more information on minimums.
  7. Do all the programs include a one day park ticket?
    Yes, all of our programs include one-day admission to all of the rides and attractions at Universal Studios Hollywood.
  8. Are your programs offered year round? Seven days a week?
    Availability varies based on the selected program. Please see the selected program page for more information on availability. Universal Studios Hollywood is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
  9. Can I use my annual pass to attend an educational program?
    Annual Passes are NOT valid for admission to any of the Educational programs.
  10. How far in advance do we need to submit a P.O.?
    All purchase orders must be submitted and pre-approved by Universal Studios Hollywood 30 business days prior to arrival date. Please see the section on payments.
  11. Can we bring a P.O. upon arrival?
    Purchase Orders will NOT be accepted upon arrival to the park.

  12. Are tickets refundable?
    All unused pre-paid tickets can be submitted for a refund.
  13. Is there a minimum number of chaperones you require per group?
    We require one adult chaperone per every ten students.
  14. Are we allowed to bring our own lunch?
    Students may carry their own individual lunch. Coolers and large food items are not permitted in the park at any time.
  15. Does the park serve any vegetarian/vegan food?
    For more information on all food locations in the park and where you can find Vegan, Vegetarian, Kosher, Gluten-Free food items, please download the Park Dietary Food Guide.
  16. Where can our school bus park? Is there a fee?
    Buses may drop and pickup students at the designated Bus Loading area free of charge. Buses will then need to relocate to FREE Bus Parking on Buddy Holly Drive. If buses wish to remain parked in the Bus Parking area for the entire day, they will need to alert the tollbooth upon entrance and pay a bus parking fee.
  17. Can I cancel my reservation at any time?
    Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to arrival date.
  18. Can we make last minute changes to our reservation?
    Changes are requested 48 hours in advance. Contact booking agent for specifics.
  19. Does the person placing the reservation have to be present to pick up the tickets?
    The person placing the reservation does not need to be present. Please advise the booking agent in advance if someone other than the person placing the reservation will be picking up the tickets at the GROUP SALES window.
  20. Do you offer fundraising opportunities?
    Fundraising opportunities are available; however, they must be facilitated by the school. Check with your school for available funding such as, TITLE 1, GATE, Bilingual, GRANTS, Booster Clubs, PTA, Corporate Sponorships, School to Career/Technology.
  21. Can we order tickets on consignment?
    Yes, tickets are available on consignment. A credit application must be completed and submitted for approval by Universal Studios Hollywood. Contact booking agent for specifics.
  22. Do you offer a graduation event?
    Yes, we are excited to announce we will be offering a brand new Gradventure Middle School Graduation Celebration Event on June 12, 2009! Please see Gradventure page for more information.
  23. Are your programs really educational?
    Yes, our programs are truly educational! Our programs address the California State and California Technical Education Standards, while providing a project-based curriculum and stimulating alternatives to the classroom. All of the Educational Lesson plans were written by an educator.
  24. If our school has our own medical consent forms, do we still need to submit the Universal medical form?
    Your school medical forms may be used in place of Universal medical forms if they contain the same required information.
  25. Where do we meet for our program?
    Meeting locations vary based on selected program. Please see the selected program page for more information on meeting locations.
  26. Can we hold special events at Universal Studios Hollywood?
